For those who love sandwiches

Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup

This delicious combination makes a great meal when it is cold outside. The melted cheese and the steam coming from the soup can warm anyone on a cold winter’s day.

What you will need:

2 slices of American cheese
Soft butter
2 slices of white bread
1 can of Campbell’s Classic Tomato Soup (follow directions on the can)

How to prepare:

  • Begin by warming your pan on medium low heat.
  • Spread the soft butter on one side of bread, and then place the bread, buttered side down, in pan.
  • Quickly place 2 slices of cheese on the bread and then place the 2nd slice of bread onto the cheese.
  • Spread butter on the top of the 2nd slice of bread.
  • Cook for about 2 minutes.
  • Cover to seal in the heat which helps melt the cheese faster.
  • Check to see if the bread has turned golden brown, and then flip the sandwich.
  • Cook for 1 minute. When 2nd side is golden brown, remove from pan and serve.

Don’t forget about your soup. Mmm, Mmm Good!
Hint: If you want to go crazy and spice up an old classic, you can add prosciutto or ham and apple slices or chutney.
